Terms that define the service boundary.

Effective and updated June 13, 2026 · 17+

These terms cover feature choices, photo and face processing, device permissions, advertising, outside providers, acceptable use, and remedies.

Term 01

Agreement and operator

These Terms of Service form an agreement between you and Normal Vector Limited (“Normal Vector,” “we,” “us”). By downloading, accessing, or using a service, you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the services.

Term 02

Age and authority

The services are intended for users aged 17 or older. You must have legal capacity to accept these Terms and must follow applicable platform, workplace, school, and local requirements. If you use a device controlled by another organization, you are responsible for having permission.

Term 03

Limited licence

We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the services for lawful personal or authorized business purposes, subject to these Terms and app-store rules. The licence does not transfer ownership of software, design, content, or marks.

Term 04

Your photo and face-effect choices

When you select a photo feature, the services may process the image locally or upload it for server-side face effects and facial recognition. You decide whether to use that feature. Uploaded photos and corresponding processing results are deleted within two weeks of the relevant processing, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Do not submit an image unless you have the necessary rights, permissions, and lawful basis, including for every recognizable person depicted.

Term 05

Rights in material you provide

You retain rights you have in photos, messages, and other material you choose to provide. You grant Normal Vector and its processors a limited licence to host, reproduce, analyze, transform, and transmit that material only as needed to deliver the selected feature, provide support, protect the services, or meet law. This licence ends when the purpose and applicable retention period end.

Term 06

Permissions, identifiers, and advertising

Features may require camera, photo-library, storage, network, or tracking permissions. Relevant versions may collect IMEI, ICCID, MAC address, IDFA, and related technical signals; IMEI and MAC may be used for advertising tracking and measurement. Google Ads or other integrated advertising may display personalized or non-personalized ads according to law, platform permission, and your settings.

Term 07

Acceptable use

You must not use the services to violate privacy or publicity rights, process unlawfully obtained images, impersonate others, create deceptive or abusive content, exploit minors, introduce malware, probe security, bypass access controls, disrupt infrastructure, infringe intellectual property, or violate law. We may investigate and restrict activity that creates material risk.

Term 08

Service providers and linked systems

Relevant releases may depend on Firebase, Google Analytics, Google Ads, reCAPTCHA, SupportBox, OLYMPIC s.r.o., app stores, hosting, and security providers. They may have independent terms, privacy notices, availability limits, and technical requirements. Normal Vector does not control third-party account decisions, ad content, or services operated independently.

Term 09

Purchases and app stores

If a store listing offers a paid download, subscription, or in-app purchase, the displayed price, billing cycle, confirmation flow, cancellation, refund, and transaction processing are governed by the applicable offer, app-store rules, and mandatory consumer law. Store credentials and store-account records are handled by the store operator, not as a Normal Vector product login.

Term 10

Intellectual property and feedback

The services, software, interfaces, documentation, and Normal Vector marks are protected by law. Except for the limited licence above, we reserve all rights. Feedback you voluntarily provide may be used to improve or promote the services without compensation, but we will not publicly attribute it to you without permission.

Term 11

Updates and availability

We may update, correct, replace, or discontinue features to address security, compatibility, provider, legal, or operational needs. Face processing, advertising, analytics, and support integrations may vary by release, platform, location, or consent. We do not promise that every feature will remain available on every device.

Term 12

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, unlawful conduct, security risk, provider withdrawal, or legal requirement. On termination, the licence ends. Provisions concerning ownership, lawful retention, disclaimers, liability, and disputes survive where their nature requires.

Term 13

Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the services and generated effects are provided “as is” and “as available.” Facial recognition and effects may be incomplete or inaccurate and must not be used for high-risk identity, legal, medical, employment, credit, or safety decisions. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation or suitability for a particular purpose. Mandatory consumer guarantees remain unaffected.

Term 14

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Normal Vector is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of data, reputation, revenue, or opportunity arising from the services or independent providers. Any limitation applies only where enforceable and does not exclude liability that law does not permit us to limit.

Term 15

Applicable law, disputes, and contact

These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes may be brought before courts with competent jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer rights. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays effective; delay is not a waiver. We may revise these Terms prospectively and will update the date above.
